I had a fabulous pre birthday afternoon tea at The Connaught Hotel London yesterday. My mum and I felt like two queens.
I have been to a lot of afternoon teas over the years and this was the best! We started with a glass of champagne then they bought us our tea selection of “old blue eyes”, followed by the tier of gorgeous food. The sandwiches were lovely my fav was the smoked salmon. The service was fantastic the staff explained the selection of food and gave me 4 more of the smoked salmon sandwhich#greedy.
The little pattiseries were so delicate and fresh each with a gold flake on top.
To top off all of this they bought over fresh scones with more cakes and jam made by the chef that day 🙂 I was in heaven.
There was a harpist playing for some of our tea playing my favorite song moon river *smiles*
If you can commute to the london Mayfair area you must go!!!
